WebP is a modern image format for images and it is supported since EasyBlog 5.3. Setting up EasyBlog to support webp image format is as below:
Ensure that your hosting environment runs on at least PHP 7.1.
Configure EasyBlog to allow image uploads with the
.webpextension as shown in the screen shot below:

Not all web browsers support webp. You may refer to the list of web browsers supporting webp here
